If you have not completed at least one year of full-time study at an accredited university where English is the ONLY official language of instruction at the institution level (not the program level), you are required to provide a language test. There are a number of acceptable tests which can be used to demonstrate language proficiency:

We require official language test results (we will review copies when initially reviewing your file, but your admission would be conditional pending the official results). Official results should be sent to York University, once you have done so please let us know by e-mailing us us at admissions-opd@osgoode.yorku.ca
We may consider Degree and Diploma applicants for a conditional offer of admission prior to receipt of an English language proficiency test. Applicants who are granted a conditional offer must submit their test results within the following timeline:
- Fall Start Program β no later than July 30
- Winter Start Program β no later than November 1
Single Course Enrollment Language Proficiency Tests and Minimum Scores
Single course enrollment applicants can demonstrate language proficiency using the same methods (and minimum scores) outlined above or may submit a current NCA Assessment letter or screenshot of the NCA portal which states that the language requirements have been met.
Note that we will not make non-degree (Single Course Enrollment) applicants conditional offers of admission prior to receipt of an English language proficiency test.
